Earlier this year, Microsoft unveiled ‘Project Spartan’ its new-age browser that will replace Internet Explorer on Windows 10. At its BUILD 2015 conference, the Redmond-based company announced that this browser would be called ‘Microsoft Edge’.

While Microsoft is touting Edge as an all-new browser, it ironically has the same ‘e’ logo that is synonymous with Internet Explorer. Nonetheless, Edge comes with a bunch of new features like Cortana integration, as well as the ability to write or doodle anything on a webpage and share them with friends or co-workers.

The Cortana integration is designed to fetch and display information like bookings, flights, hotel, package tracking, and other data in within the browser. It also lets you save pages for offline reading and sync these reading lists across multiple devices.

Also in line with previous reports, Edge supports browser extensions from Chrome and Firefox. There is currently no word on how users will be able to install these extensions.
