Microsoft India Store's mail to registered users confirms data compromised, claims credit card info is safe

Microsoft has sent a mail to registered users of its Indian online store informing them of the store getting hacked. The mail also gives a better picture of the extent of data compromised – the company claims the database of user’s credit card information was safe but those storing the username, password, email address, order details and shipping address may have been compromised. Users can heave a sigh of relief that their credit card information was safe but it is not very reassuring that one’s shipping address and other details were stored in plain text format. Hit the break for the mail Microsoft sent to registered users.
