According to the announcement post on Tech Community on the Office Apps Blog, Jared Spataro, the Corporate Vice President for Microsoft Office pointed out that Office 2019 is the “next perpetual update for Office on Mac”.
Spataro went on to add that the Office 2019 version will ship along with Office 2019 for Windows in the second half of this year. He noted that even though Office 365 is ideal for “most productive and most secure Office experience” but stated that this version is the best for users who are not ready to move to the cloud and the monthly or yearly Office 365 subscription model. The announcement post was first spotted by Neowin and it detailed the improvements that are coming with Office 2019.
