Microsoft s first non-Nokia branded Windows Phone handset, the Lumia 535 is now available for purchase through the company s website in all three color options. The Microsoft Lumia 530 is the successor to the Lumia 530, which it announced earlier this year. The highlight of Lumia 535 includes a 5-megapixel camera at the back with flash, a similar camera at the front with wide angle lens, and of course, the 5-inch display. On the specifications front, the smartphone features a 5-inch display is qHD (960 540 pixels) display with 220ppi pixel density, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, and an 8GB expandable internal storage. The dual-SIM capable phone packs in a 1,905mAh battery, and runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update.
To make the deal even more interesting, Microsoft is giving users several offers at the time of purchase. These include 500MB of free data for Vodafone users for a period of two months, Jabong gift vouchers worth Rs 6,000 applicable for three months, eBooks for Flipkart worth Rs 1,500, and two months of BoxTv subscription worth Rs 720.
At the sideline of the announcement, the company also announced that it is reducing the cost of Office 365 subscription and OneDrive storage plans for all Lumia handsets running Windows Phone 8 or above. The company announced that users can now upgrade to 1TB of storage on OneDrive for Rs 799 per annum (it typically costs Rs 3,960). For the Office 365 subscriptions, users now only need to pay Rs 2,499 (it typically costs Rs 4,199)
