After confirming touch sensitivity issue with the Lumia 535 earlier this month, Microsoft announced late last night that it has started rolling out an update to fix the said issue. The update, which is seeding out as an OTA, will be first available to users in Vietnam, and then will eventually make way to other select regions.
Besides providing fix to the touch sensitivity and other stability and performance improvements, the update also makes it easier to toggle with the data connection. With the update, Microsoft is also letting users decide when they usually like to deal with updates. In addition, it also brings Cortana to several new markets.
Given your location and carrier, the update could take a little longer to arrive on your handset. Until then, users can switch off the Screen Magnifier feature to avoid the issue to some extent.
The Lumia 535 was launched in India in November with a price tag of Rs 9,199. On the specifications front, the smartphone sports a 5-inch display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, and an 8GB expandable internal storage.
The dual-SIM capable phone packs in a 1,905mAh battery, and runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update. This is the first Lumia device that shed off its father Nokia’s name and donned its new owner Microsoft’s brand name.
