Microsoft has a new flagship handset due for later this year, but in the meantime the company has been working aggressively on refreshing its existing affordable lineup of smartphones. A new Windows Phone handset with the model number RM-1072 has passed certification in Indonesia. The specs of the handset mentioned in the listing suggests that it is a lower-priced variant of last year’s Lumia 830. The specs of the handset include a 5-inch display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. It is powered by the same quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, paired with 1GB RAM, and comes with 8GB expandable internal storage. NPU citing its sources claims that the handset will be priced at around $275 (compared to $375 price tag of Lumia 830). The Lumia 830 was launched in India last October for Rs 28,799. The report also claims that the new Lumia 830 will have a dual-SIM variant. The company may launch the handset at the Mobile World Congress, scheduled to commence in the first week of March.
