If you’re looking for a premium and stylish Windows 10-based computing device, look no further than Microsoft’s Surface series. Having begun with the convertible first-generation Surface back in 2012, the line-up now includes hybrids, laptops, all-in-one PCs, and even circumaural headphones.
Back in July, Microsoft launched Surface Go, its most-compact and affordable Windows 10-based tablet. Now, it seems that the convertible PC is all set to arrive on Indian shores.
A full-blown teaser page has gone live on Flipkart, signaling the imminent arrival of the diminutive Surface. The teaser doesn’t reveal much details (except for semi-hidden renders of the device), but the hashtag #OnTheGo all but confirms that it’s the Surface Go we are talking about.
There’s no exact timeframe as to when the Surface Go will arrive in the country, but given the teaser, we expect that a launch is just around the corner. Also, it seems that the Windows 10 tablet will be exclusive to Flipkart.
Coming to hardware specifications, Microsoft Surface Go is powered by Intel’s Pentium Gold 4415Y CPU, with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It has a 10-inch ‘PixelSense’ display with a resolution of 1800×1200 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The multi-touch (10-point) panel also has a contrast ratio of 1500:1, and is secured by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
For wireless connectivity and I/O, the Surface Go features Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1, as well as USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio, Surface Connect, and microSDXC ports. For off-screen interaction, there’s Surface Dial support as well.
