At the ongoing Future Unleashed event in Mumbai, Microsoft s Satya Nadella made an announcement that many had been waiting for the Surface Pro 4 tablet is going to launch to India. Nadella reveals the tablet will be available in India in January, 2016. This is will be the first time Microsoft will be officially launching a Surface tablet in India. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 specifications and features: The Apple iPad Pro rival flaunts a 12.3-inch (2736×1824 pixels) PixelTouch display with 3:2 aspect ratio, pixel density of 267ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Under the hood the tablet features Intel s 6-generation Core processors (Core M3 to Core i7), paired with Intel HD Graphics 515, Intel HD Graphics 520, or Intel Iris Graphics. The variants feature 4GB to 16GB of RAM, and 128GB to 1TB storage options. Overall, Microsoft says that the Surface Pro 4 is up to 30 percent faster than its predecessor and 50 percent faster than Apple’s MacBook Air.
It also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a battery that is good enough for up to nine hours of usage. Connectivity options include four USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet port, a fingerprint scanner, and two 4K Mini DisplayPorts.
Along with the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft also launched the next-gen Surface Pen, which comes with an eraser and can detect 1,024 points of pressure. There is also a new Type Cover, with more spacious keys and a glass trackpad, 40 percent larger than its predecessor.
