Microsoft claims that the next Xbox will mark the beginning of a new generation of games, TV and entertainment. The event will also be streamed via Xbox.com, Xbox Live and Spike TV for people in the US. Previously, there were rumors about a dedicated Xbox event for May, but still most assumed that Microsoft would stick to an E3 launch for June. According to the Verge, the event will mainly focus on the core details of the console which also goes by the internal codename Durango. Probably, Microsoft will still have a large E3 event where it will line up its developer partners.
A lot has already been written about the next Xbox. Essentially, it is expected to run on an AMD processor, an BluRay optical drive, and it is expected to have an always connected mode. Additionally, Microsoft is believed to be testing a mode which will block the usage of used games.
