At an event in Delhi today, Microsoft officially launched its Xbox One X gaming console in India, which was first unveiled in June last year at E3 2017. Aimed at hardcore gamers, the new console comes with upgraded hardware, and support for 4K games at 60 frames per second. The console comes with one controller, and doesn t come bundled with any games, which could be a bummer. The Xbox One S (1TB), on the other hand, is priced at Rs 24,999. Microsoft Xbox One X specifications
Talking about specifications, the Xbox One X is powered by a custom octa-core AMD CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, along with a 6 teraflop GPU clocked at 1.17GHz. The gaming console is paired with 8GB of RAM, 1TB HDD for internal storage and 12GB of GDDR5 video RAM.
Microsoft has also added advanced liquid cooling along with a supercharger-style centrifugal fan to keep the console cool, especially when playing graphics intense games. Talking about connectivity, the Xbox One X comes with Wi-Fi direct, IR blaster, Bluetooth and a power connector.
There are also two HDMI ports, an Ethernet port, S/PDIF port and three USB 3.0 ports. Talking about audio and video support, the Xbox One X comes with 4K Ultra HD, HDR, spatial audio, HDR, 4K DVR, Dolby ATMOS, and DTS 5.1 support. The Xbox One X also comes equipped with a 4K Blu-ray drive. Despite the powerful hardware, Microsoft says that the Xbox One X is slimmer and lighter compared to the Xbox One.
Xbox One X is also backward compatible, which means your current Xbox One games will work on the new console too.
