Microsoft s Xbox One console is close on Sony PlayStation 4 s heels when it comes to the sales figures. Sony sold a million consoles on day one and crossed two million in under two weeks. The Xbox One has taken a bit longer, but yesterday Microsoft announced that it too had crossed the two million sales milestone. Since its launch about 18 days back, Microsoft has sold over two million consoles averaging about 111,111 units a day and at one point there were orders for more than 1,000 units per minute on Amazon.com. Microsoft also added that demand had exceeded supplies in around 13 launch markets and most of its retailers have run out of stock.
