US-based mobile accessories company Amzer has launched its first fitness-tracking wearable in India, called FitZer. The wearable is priced at Rs 2,999 and is exclusively available via Croma retail stores. As is the case with fitness wearables, the FitZer is capable of tracking steps, and sleep, and one of its USP is that it can sync your data with Apple’s HealthKit. The Amzer FitZer can track the distance travelled, user’s steps, calories burnt, and can also monitor sleep patterns. It also lets users set goals and alarms, and when not tracking activities it shows the time via the OLED screen. The FitZer band is compatible with smartphones running on Android 4.3 and above, as well as, iOS 7 and above. You can head over to the App Store or the Google Play Store to download the respective apps. The band connects to the smartphones using Bluetooth 4.0, and the data recorded can be synced with Apple’s HealthKit and GoogleFit.
The wearable is also resistant to water and dust, and with a 70mAh battery underneath, the company says that you will only need to charge it once a week. It also includes a vibratory motor for notifications.
At this price range, users also have an option to choose from the Misfit Flash, priced at Rs 2,499, the slightly more expensive Fitbit Zip, priced at Rs 3,990, and the GOQii smartband with its subscription plans starting from Rs 3,999. The FitZer will also compete against the popular Xiaomi Mi Band, which is priced at Rs 999.
