More iPhone 6 photos leaked ahead of September 9 launch; Apple gets certification for two models in Thailand

New leaked images of the much-awaited iPhone 6, slated to release this year, have surfaced on the Internet ahead of Apple’s reported September 9 launch event. The new set of photos come from Sonny Dickson, who single-handedly and accurately leaked the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C last year. The photos show a work in progress model and looks rather scraped and severed. Dickson said he obtained the component from an internal source. Also Read - Apple iPhone 13 could bring this interesting feature

The latest leak by the Australian reveal the backside of the device. From these images, it can be seen that Apple has gone back to its normal circular shaped flash from the pill-shaped flash on older iPhone modules. The handset appears taller and wider which matches many prior iPhone 6 leaks.

Earlier this week, The Secretary General of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission in Thailand also officially announced that Apple has got clearance sell two devices in Thai markets. The devices codenamed A1524 and A1286 were given the go-ahead to retail in Thailand by the nation s version of the U.S. FCC, and although it doesn t tell us anything about the devices in question, it does lead us to believe that news about two iPhone 6 variants is true.

Apple is expected to host a media event on September 9, where the iPhone 6 will likely be unveiled. However, the invites for the event haven’t been sent out yet.

We had reported earlier that the iPhone 6 display will be tougher than Gorilla Glass, though it won t be Sapphire Glass as was previously rumored. The smartphone will be powered by a new A8 chipset with a clockspeed of 2GHz per core, boast a lighting fast 802.11ac Wi-Fi chip built by Broadcom, and Qualcomm s MDM9x35 cellular modem. The Touch ID fingerprint scanner is might also undergo improvements to speed up recognitions and ‘improve security for mobile payments and biometrics.’
