Besides the dummy unit, famous leaker @evleaks has posted a Galaxy S7 Edge render, which offers us a glimpse at the left edge of the smartphone. From the photo, we can see the curved edge display, the physical home button which also doubles as a fingerprint scanner and the volume buttons. Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge specifications and features: Based on the leaks and rumors, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are likely to feature a 5.1-inch and a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display running at QHD resolution.
These smartphones will either be powered by Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage options. While the Galaxy S6-family was criticised for not having external storage, Samsung is likely to include the microSD card slot in the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
On the photography front, both smartphones are expected to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/1.7, a 5-megapixel selfie unit, a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11ad, NFC and Bluetooth connectivity options. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants are likely to come with 3,000mAh and 3,600mAh batteries, respectively with support for Quick Charge feature. On the software front, it is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under Samsung s TouchWiz UI.
