Ever since the global launch, Motorola has been teasing the launch of the Moto E4 Plus smartphone in the Indian market. Now, the Lenovo-owned company has made things official by revealing that the Moto E4 Plus will be launched in India on July 12. Motorola launched the Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus last month. While the teaser doesn t mention the Moto E4, it is widely expected that the company will launch both smartphones on the same day. Despite a few days to the launch, the Moto E4 is said to be available at a few retail stores in the country with a Rs 8,999 price tag. This is quite close to the international pricing of the Moto E4, and by that logic, the Moto E4 Plus could be priced around Rs 10,000 ($159). When it comes to the design, the new Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus share a lot of similarities with the Moto G5 series. There is a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button up front, and they also boast water-repellant nano coating. The Moto E4 Plus flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (720p) display. It is powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 427 quad-core SoC. There are two variants to choose from — 16GB with 2GB RAM, and 32GB with 3GB RAM. It will be interesting to see if Motorola launches both variants in India.
The specifications sheet also includes a 13-megapixel auto-focus camera at the back with f/2.0 aperture, 5-megapixel selfie camera with flash, and a massive 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.

The Moto E4, on the other hand, features a 5-inch HD (720p) display, and is powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC. There is only one variant sporting 16GB internal storage with microSD card slot, and 2GB RAM.
The rest of the specifications include an 8-megapixel auto-focus camera at the back with f/2.2 aperture, 5-megapixel selfie camera with flash, 2,800mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. On the software front, the Moto E4 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
