Lenovo-owned Motorola had launched its budget smartphones, the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus in the US last month. Following the launch, Motorola has been teasing the launch of the Moto E4 Plus in India which is set to take place this month. There has been no word around the Moto E4 s arrival in India, but the smartphone has apparently been launched in India at Rs 8,999. Smartphone retailer Mahesh Telecom tweeted a video showing the sealed Moto E4 smartphone along with its specifications. The tweet also mentioned that the Moto E4 would be priced at Rs 8,999 in India, and is apparently available in retail stores. The said tweet has been taken down as of now. The alleged pricing of the Moto E4 comes around the same range as the US pricing which is $129 and rounds off to approximately Rs 8,400. Although the Moto E4 Plus launch for India is confirmed, Motorola hasn’t confirmed anything on the Moto E4 yet.
Speaking about the Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus, both the smartphones feature a metal design and sport a look similar to the Moto G5 series. The smartphones come with water-repellant nano coating and feature a fingerprint sensor which is embedded on the home button up front. In terms of specifications, the Moto E4 features a 5-inch HD display. Under its hood, runs Qualcomm s Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. In the photography department, the Moto E4 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and f/2.2 aperture. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel camera with flash for selfies and video calling. The Moto E4 is fueled by a 2,800mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. Its connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. The Moto E4 Plus on the other hand comes with a bigger 5.5-inch HD display and Qualcomm s Snapdragon 427 quad-core processor. In terms of storage, the Moto E4 Plus comes with 2GB and 3GB of RAM and storage options of 16GB and 32GB which is also expandable up to 128GB. For photography, the Moto E4 Plus has a 13-megapixel rear auto-focus camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with flash.
