Lenovo-backed Motorola s upcoming smartphones in the Moto E series have been doing the rounds online for quite some time. Motorola is expected to unveil two new smartphones, dubbed the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus, which would be essentially successors to the last year s Moto E lineup. Ahead of the official announcement, the Moto E4 has made an appearance on benchmarking site GeekBench, revealing a few of its key specifications. Speaking about the specifications, the Moto E4 according to the listing runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Under the hood of the smartphone, runs a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.25GHz with Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T720MP2 GPU. The GeekBench listing shows that the Moto E4 will come with 2GB of RAM. The information available through the listing matches what we have seen so far with the Moto E4.
The Moto E4 s highlight particularly has been the rumored battery storage going up to 4,000mAh for an entry-level smartphone. There have been different reports though with the FCC listing showing the Moto E4 carrying a 2,800mAh battery. Whereas the Indonesian regulatory board showed the Moto E4 with a smaller 2,300mAh battery. The higher variant of the two, the Moto E4 Plus was also spotted online recently with a massive battery of 5,000mAh. As for the remaining specifications, the Moto E4 is expected to feature a 5-inch FWVGA display with resolution of 854×480 pixels. In terms of memory, the Moto E4 has been rumored to come in three more variants of RAM including 1GB, 3GB and 4GB with internal storage of 16GB. Some reports suggested a 32GB storage option for the Moto E4. In the photography department, the smartphone is expected to sport a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Moto E3 was launched as Moto E3 Power in India, priced at Rs 7,999. The smartphone features a 5-inch HD display and runs a MediaTek quad-core processor under its hood. The Moto E3 Power comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. For photography, the Moto E3 Power sports an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is powered by a 3,500mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Its connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.0.
