Lenovo-owned Motorola today launched its latest budget smartphone, the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus, in India with a massive 5,000mAh battery and fast charging support. The company had first introduced the Moto E5 Plus at an event in Brazil in April alongside Moto E5, Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play. The Moto E5 Plus is priced at Rs 11,999, and will be available starting July 11 midnight (12:00AM). Motorola will be selling the Moto E5 Plus online exclusively on Amazon India, and offline via Motorola’s official Moto Hub retail stores across the country. It will be available in two color options Black and Fine Gold. The Moto E5, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 9,999 and will be available via Moto Hub stores. Moto E5 specifications and features
The smartphone flaunts a 5.7-inch HD+ display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC, with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which is expandable using a microSD card. In the photography department, the Moto E5 comes 13-megapixel sensor of aperture f/2.0 and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash. To keep things ticking, it is armed with a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, and dual SIM card slots.

The Moto E5 Plus boasts a 6-inch IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and HD+ (720×1440 pixels) resolution. The handset is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). It sports a primary 12-megapixel rear camera with flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and laser auto-focus. Up front, it gets an 8-megapixel selfie sensor with flash, and f/2.2 aperture.

The Moto E5 Plus gets a massive 5,000mAh battery with Motorola‘s own TurboPower charging technology for fast charging. The company claims that the battery is capable enough to offer 1.5 days worth of usage on a single charge. For security, the device comes with a fingerprint sensor, and is also resistant to accidental splashes of water courtesy of the nano coating.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz+5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro-USB port. On the software front, the Moto E5 Plus runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
