Along with the Moto G6-series smartphones, Lenovo-owned Motorola has also unveiled the Moto E5-series smartphones at an event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. All three smartphones come with curved glass back design as the Moto G6-series. While the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus feature Max Vision 18:9 displays with screen-to-body ratio of over 80 percent, the Moto E5 Play comes with 16:9 display. All three smartphones run on Android Oreo OS, feature fingerprint sensor at the back (embedded inside Moto logo), and feature water-repellent nano-coating. The Moto E5 is priced at $185, which is about Rs 12,300, whereas the Moto E5 Plus is priced at $210, which roughly translates to Rs 13,900. There is no word on the pricing of the Moto E5 Play model, but considering it to be an entry-level mode, it is likely to be priced around $150, which translates to Rs 9,900. Motorola hasn t said about Indian availability yet, but considering Moto E series has been popular with the entry-level segment in India, it may eventually be launched here. Moto E5 Play specifications and features
The smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC. It is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage, and a microSD card slot for further storage expansion.
In the photography department, it features an 8-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0 and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash. The smartphone is armed with a 2,800mAh battery and connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, and dual SIM card slots.

Moto E5 Plus is the top-end variant, with a slightly larger 6-inch HD+ display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core SoC, along with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. A microSD card slot for further expansion is also present.
For photography, the smartphone features a 12-megapixel primary sensor of f/2.0 aperture, and an 8-megapixel front camera with LED flash. The smartphone comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery with Turbo Power fast charging feature.
