The renders have been shared by serial leakster Evan Blass, and the two renders show the front side of the upcoming device. If the leak is to be believed, this would be first the time that Moto s E series will get a Play variant.
Blass says that the Moto E5 Play is coming to Verizon and Cricket Wireless, and will be called Moto E5 Cruise. Looking at the renders, the overall design is in line with the Moto E5 renders we have seen before. There is no physical home button on the front, and instead there is the Motorola branding on the bottom bezel. This means that the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back. Also seen is a front-facing flash on the top bezel.
There is currently no word on when Moto plans to unveil its new E5 series of smartphones. But if you look closely at the renders, the date on the phones is April 3, 2018. Could it be the day, Moto is planning on launching its new affordable smartphones? This would certainly be in contrast to the MWC 2018 rumors we have come across so far.
In the meanwhile, the Moto E5 has received Bluetooth certification, thereby moving a step closer to a launch. The listing reveals that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm processor, and it will boast a 4,000mAh battery.
