Lenovo launched the Moto G4 Plus in India last month, and while it also announced the Moto G4, availability and pricing details were kept under wraps. Today, the company has however put an end to the mystery. The Moto G4 is priced at Rs 12,499, and it will be exclusively available on Amazon India from midnight. At Rs 12,499, the Moto G4 is priced in a very competitive price segment. In fact, the Moto G4 Plus itself sounds like a better deal. Priced just Rs 1,000 more at Rs 13,499, the Moto G4 Plus 16GB variant has the same specifications as the Moto G4 but features a higher resolution 16-megapixel camera with laser auto-focus and PDAF, as well as a fingerprint sensor that the Moto G4 lacks. Moto G4 specifications, features: The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with 401ppi, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
On the photography front, the Moto G4 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, auto HDR, 4X digital zoom, professional mode, and 1080p video recording capabilities. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, wide-angle lens and display flash.
The Moto G4 also features a 3,000mAh battery that Moto says is good enough to last a day. It also supports TurboPower, which can give up to six hours of usage in 15 minutes of charging. There is also a nano coating to protect the device from the accidental splash of water.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz+5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.
Apart from the Moto G4 Plus, at this price point, the Moto G4 will face competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 and the Honor 5X to name a few.
