We are but a few hours away from Motorola‘s launch event today where it is widely expected to launch the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. Motorola is hosting events in Mexico and India. Leaks however have far from stopped, and in fact the latest one leaves little to imagination. The front of the retail box shows the Moto G4 Plus in full along with Motorola’s ‘Batwing’ logo up top. At the back, are some of the specifications and features along with the Lenovo logo towards the left-bottom corner. The leak also shows the smartphone outside the box and the overall look is in line with the earlier leaks. Also Read - Poco M3 Pro 5G vs Moto G40 Fusion: Spec-by-spec comparison, which is better?
The back panel seems to be removable and gets a matte finish. The back also sees the ‘M’ logo and the pill-shaped camera setup, which includes the camera lens, LED flash and what looks like laser autofocus. Up front, a screen guard confirms the name Moto G4 Plus and also boasts the square fingerprint scanner placed under the display.
Moto G4 Plus specifications, features: As per the leaked retail box, the Moto G4 Plus features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, and is powered by an octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 32GB internal storage, 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF support, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a 3,000mAh battery with TurboCharging support.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow.
Motorola is also expected to launch the Moto G4 at the same event, which is likely to be a more affordable variant. While most of the specifications are expected to remain the same, one major difference is likely to be the absence of the fingerprint sensor. Both devices will also be exclusively available on Amazon India.
