Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5 in India this March and April respectively. The Moto G5 Plus was launched earlier starting at a price of Rs 14,999, which was followed by the smaller Moto G5 with a price tag of Rs 11,999. Both smartphones were initially available online only, but now we learn that the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus are being sold offline. According to Gadgets 360 s sources, offline retailers have received stocks of both the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus. BGR India reached out to Motorola, and the company has confirmed that the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus will be available offline. Motorola has also confirmed that the devices have already reached outlets across the country.
When the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus were launched in India, there was a lot of hue and cry about the smartphones being exclusive to online platform. In fact, the Moto G5 Plus witnessed record sales on the first day of its launch with over 50 units sold per minute. This move comes at a time when Motorola just launched its budget smartphones, the Moto C and Moto C Plus which will be available in offline stores. Moto G5 specifications, features
The Moto G5 features a 5-inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card. In the photography department, the Moto G5 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF support. The Moto G5 is backed by a 2,800mAh battery, which is claimed to last a day with a single charge. The battery also supports 10W rapid charge. Connectivity options available on the Moto G5 include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The larger variant of the two, Moto G5 Plus, flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display along with Gorilla Glass 3 protection layered on top. Under the hood of the smartphone, runs Qualcomm s Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC. The smartphone comes in three variants of 2GB RAM plus 32GB storage, 3GB of RAM plus 32GB storage and 4GB of RAM plus 64GB onboard storage. For photography, the Moto G5 Plus is equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, dual autofocus pixel, dual-tone LED flash and 4K video recording capability. The smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel wide angle selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The Moto G5 Plus is fuelled by a bigger 3,000mAh battery with TurboCharging feature which offers 6 hours of battery after 15 minutes of charge.
