Lenovo has a slew of devices ready for launch under the Moto brand. The Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus are the latest leaked smartphones from the Moto catalogue. Both the phones are slightly modified versions of the Moto G5 in terms of design and focus more on photography. While the Moto G5S was leaked recently, photos of the Moto G5S Plus were shared on Twitter via tipster @evleaks. The leaked images do hint at some features of the upcoming smartphones, and give us a glimpse at the specifications. The overall design of both phones is very similar to the Moto G5. While Moto G5S will be the smaller and cheaper version, doing away with the dual rear camera setup, the larger Moto G5S Plus will sport the same. In terms of specifications, Moto G5S will sport a 5.2-inch FHD display, and Moto G5S Plus will come with a larger 5.5-inch FHD display. The internals like the processor, the memory variants and the RAM are still unknown. The phones leaked are in the colors grey, gold, and blue. Additionally, both the smartphones will run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box.
There’s no word on the launch date for the devices and Lenovo is yet to confirm them. It would be wise to take the leaks with a grain of salt for now. Since the phones are an updated version of Moto G5, the official announcement might not happen before the second half of 2017 considering the Moto G5 arrived just a couple of months ago, in March at MWC 2017. Taking a quick look at Moto G5 specifications, the phone comes with a 5-inch FHD display and runs on Android Nougat 7.0. Under the hood runs a Snapdragon 430 octa-core chipset and the device comes in two internal storage variants. The 16GB version is coupled with 3GB RAM whereas, 32GB version comes with 4GB RAM. The phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear end camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Moto G5 sports a 2800mAh battery.
Moto G5 Plus comes with a larger 5.2-inch FHD display with Snapdragon 625 chipset. The phone comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front camera. The internal memory is the same as that of Moto G5. The device also comes with a larger 3000mAh battery.
