Motorola has long been rumored to be working on taking forward the affordable G-series. The Moto G6 Play is reportedly close to a launch, and in a new detailed leak, a bunch of specifications and design details of the smartphone have been revealed. As per the report by Android Headlines, the Moto G6 Play s specifications have been revealed in an “in-house Motorola documentation”. Apparently, the Moto G6 Play will feature a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) Max Vision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Under the hood, the phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 SoC, paired with an Adreno 308 GPU. Further, in terms of optics, the smartphone will reportedly sport a single 13-megapixel sensor at the rear. The primary camera will be accompanied with features like Quick Capture, Best Shot, Manual Mode, and a Beautification Mode. Up front, the smartphone will apparently come with a 5-megapixel camera. The Moto G6 Play is believed to be fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery, with support for Motorola’s proprietary TurboPower charging technology.

On top of that, the report also mentions of the Moto G6 Play supporting FM Radio access, support for Dolby Audio technology, a fingerprint sensor with Moto Key support, and certain Moto-exclusive software capabilities. These are said to be the same on Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus.
While that s mostly what the report reveals, some days ago the Moto G6 Play was spotted on an American retailing website. The retailer listed both Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play before the listing was eventually pulled down. As per the listing, the Moto G6 Play will be priced at $199.99 (Rs 13,000 approximately), and $249.99 (Rs 16,300 approximately) for the Moto G6. Additionally, the Moto G6 Play is said to start shipping from May 10, and the Moto G6 by May 17.
