Lenovo-owned Motorola will be launching a new smartphone today in India. The device in question is the Moto G6 Plus, which was first launched in Brazil earlier this year. With the launch scheduled today, here’s a look at everything we know so far.

Moto G6 Plus expected price in India

The Moto G6 Plus was launched in Brazil with a price tag of EUR 299, which roughly translates to Rs 24,400. Motorola had launched indigo and gold color options, but it remains to be seen if both make it to our shores.

To put this price into perspective, the Moto G6 is available in India with prices starting from Rs 13,999. The Moto G6 Play, on the other hand, is available for Rs 11,999. The Moto G6 is an Amazon India exclusive, while the Moto G6 Play is a Flipkart exclusive. There is however no word on which platform Motorola will be choosing for the Moto G6 Plus.

Moto G6 Plus specifications, features

As far as specifications are concerned, the Moto G6 Plus flaunts a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. There is also 64GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.

For photography, the device is equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back. This includes a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s an 8-megapixel snapper up front.

Making sure everything ticks is a 3,200mAh battery, and for security there is a fingerprint sensor. As is the case with most Motorola devices, the Moto G6 Plus too has a nano coating making it resistant to water splashes.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. On the software front, it runs Android Oreo out-of-the-box.
