Lenovo-owned Motorola was expected to unveil the Moto G6 series smartphones at MWC 2018, but the company did not announce any smartphone at the trade show. Over the past few weeks we have come across leaks and rumors regarding the Moto G6 smartphones, but there was no word on the launch date. Now, Motorola has sent out invites for the April 19 launch event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where the company is speculated to launch the Moto G6 series smartphones. The invite (shared by AndroidPit) doesn t reveal any information about the upcoming smartphones, but resembles the wallpaper seen in the leaked renders of the Moto G6. Lenovo recently confirmed that Sergio Buniac is the new co-president of Lenovo Mobile Business Group, and chairman and president of Motorola. From what we know so far, the Moto G6 series will include three smartphones the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and the Moto G6 Plus. The Moto G6 Play will likely be the entry-level model with a 5.7-inch HD+ display and 18:9 aspect ratio, and pricing of $200, which is roughly about Rs 13,000. The device is also expected to come with the Snapdragon 427 SoC, a single-camera setup at the back and a 4,000mAh battery, AndroidHeadlines report.

The Moto G6 is expected to sit between the G6 Play and G6 Plus. It is also expected to sport a 5.7-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and could be powered by Snapdragon 450 SoC, paired with 32GB onboard storage. The Moto G6 could also come with a 3,000mAh battery, a fingerprint reader on the front, and dual-camera setup at the back. It is likely to have a $250 price tag, which is approximately Rs 16,300.
Lastly, the Moto G6 Plus is expected to come with a slightly larger 5.93-inch full HD+ display and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also likely to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, multiple RAM and storage variants. However, other details about the cameras, battery capacity and pricing are scarce at the moment.
