Moto X Style users in India start receiving Android Nougat update: Report

The Moto X Style update has long been awaited in India.

The Moto X Style has finally started receiving the Android Nougat update in India. The update brings all the Android Nougat features to the Moto smartphone. India is pretty late in receiving the update, with Moto X Style users receiving the first Android Nougat update back in August, followed by users in Brazil. Motorola is one of the brands, which continue to provide latest updates to even older smartphones. Announced in the mid-range segment, Moto X Style comes with average specifications. The new Android Nougat update brings quite a few new changes to the smartphone. The new ‘Doze’ mode is introduced to improve battery efficiency. The new update also brings multi-window or split-window support, letting the user operate two apps at once. The new update also fixes bugs and brings performance improvements in the smartphone. Another update comes to the Notifications Panel. The new panel lets users reply directly to notifications, without having to open the app. There is also native call blocking, and a change in the Quick Settings menu. Moto X Style specifications, features

The Moto X Style was initially launched for Rs 29,999, however it now available online via e-commerce sites for around Rs 26,999. The smartphone features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 1440 pixels) display, Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, and 3GB of RAM.

The Moto X Style comes with a 21-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera with wide-angle lens and front flash for selfies. The smartphone comes with a 3,000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the device supports Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and supports dual-SIM slots. Apart from Moto X Style, a range of Moto smartphones have received the Android Nougat update this year. Motorola has rolled out invites for a July 25 event, and is expected to announce a premium smartphone — most likely the much-leaked Moto X4.
