Just when we thought Android One is dead, Google seems to have regained smartphone manufacturer’s trust again. Last we saw Xiaomi launching the Mi A1 with Android One OS. Now, Motorola might soon join the league with Xiaomi, Micromax, Karbonn, Lava, and Spice. According to a new report, Motorola will be launching a special edition of Moto X4 with Android One OS in the US. According to trusted leakster Evan Blass, there soon may be a special version of the Moto X4 released, that will run Android One OS. The phone is said to look identical to the mid-range Moto X4, which was launched at IFA earlier this month. The only difference that will be seen will be the change in the OS. There were no further details revealed about the phone, but previous reports suggest we might be looking at the first Android One phone for the United States.
In terms of specifications, the Moto X4 flaunts a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 1920 pixels) LTPS IPS display. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz paired with 3GB of RAM. The Moto X4 sports a dual-camera setup at the back one is a 12-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, while the other is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture. Up front, there is a 16-megapixel camera with flash support and f/2.0 aperture.

In comparison, the Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with a 12-megapixel Telephoto lens + 12-megapixel wide angle lens that is similar to iPhone 7 Plus. Apart from that, stock Android Nougat is another USP of the phone. Xiaomi has partnered with Google s Android One project. It has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p). Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB of storage on offer, which can be further expanded using a microSD card.
