After having unveiled the long due Moto X4 at IFA 2017, Motorola will be launching the smartphone in India in October. Motorola had earlier sent invites highlighting ‘X’ without naming the smartphone, but it was pretty clear that it is the Moto X4. The company has now officially confirmed the launch via a tweet mentioning the Moto X4, and its October 3 launch date. With the Moto X4 launched already, we know all the details about the smartphone. At the launch event on October 3, its Indian pricing and availability details will be revealed. In Europe, the Moto X4 is priced at 399 (approximately Rs 30,900). The Moto X4 flaunts a metal unibody design in two colors of Super Black and Sterling Blue. The home button up front doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
The highlight of the smartphone is its dual-camera setup at the rear. The pair includes a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel primary camera of f/2.0 aperture, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens of f/2.2 aperture, and 1.12um big pixels. The dual cameras work together to achieve depth-of-field effects.

The Moto X4 features a 5.2-inch full HD (1o80p) IPS display with curved glass and Gorilla Glass 3 for protection on top. Under its hood is a Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. For selfies, the Moto X4 houses a 16-megapixel camera of f/2.0 aperture, and with LED flash. On the software front, the Moto X4 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The smartphone is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery along with the company’s TurboPower charger for fast charging. Its connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port. More features on the Moto X4 include Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa integration. There’s a Moto Key password feature, which allows one to enter their security credentials with one tap. The Moto X4 is also equipped with a France-based Tempow newly integrated Wireless Sound System that lets you connect up to four Bluetooth audio systems at the same time.
