Motorola has just launched a new smartphone in China, which is essentially an old smartphone with a new name, and also with a bumper price tag. The Lenovo-backed company announced the Moto Z 2018 Kingsman VIP Special Edition at RMB 9,999, which translates to a whopping Rs 97,700.

The Moto Z 2018 Kingsman VIP Special Edition, as the (long) name suggests, is a limited edition model featuring a gold ‘M’ logo at the back as one of its frills. The Moto Mod connector pins have also been slightly redesigned. Encased in a special box, which appears to share its theme with the new movie titled Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the phone is bundled with a few accessories making it seem like a different version altogether.

Other than a gold logo at the back and identical theme inside, the special part about the special edition phone is its briefcase-shaped external packaging. It contains a VIP card, a TurboPower battery mod, a wireless charging mod, a USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter, a leather flip case, a 45th-anniversary notepad, a pair of USB Type-C Hi-Fi headphones, and a warranty card.

The catch here is that the Moto Z 2018 Kingsman VIP Special Edition is just the Moto Z2 Force, which was first launched in July earlier this year. In addition to the special edition, Gizchina notes, the company has also announced the Moto Z 2018 regular variant, which evidently, lacks the special briefcase-shaped outer box and bundled accessories. ALSO READ: Moto X4 India price allegedly leaked ahead of November 13 launch
