Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Moto Z2 Force smartphone back in July last year. Nearly six months later, the smartphone with a shatterproof display will be launching in India. Here’s a last minute look at everything we know about the device.
Motorola’s launch event kicks off at 12:00PM today, and you can watch the live streamed event in the video embedded below. While prices are still under wraps, the device was launched in the US last year with a price tag of $799 (approximately Rs 51,200). The smartphone is likely to be available via online as well as offline (Moto Hubs) channels post-launch.
The Moto Z2 Force’s USP is clearly its near-invincible capabilities. The device is built using reinforced 7000 series aluminum, and the display panel boasts ‘ShatterShield’ technology. What this essentially means is that the screen won’t crack if it is dropped on its face. Motorola claims that the screen can survive a drop from up to two feet.
Another highlight of the smartphone is Moto Mods compatibility. There’s a 16-pin connector placed at the back, and the device is compatible with all Mods launched up till now. This includes the recently launched Moto TurboPower Pack Mod, which is available for Rs 5,999.
