Moto Z3 launched
The next flagship smartphone from Lenovo-owned Motorola, the Moto Z3 has been launched in the US. While the phone is powered by last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, the phone will support 5G connectivity through a separately-sold Moto Mod that enables the connectivity. For now, 5G connectivity on the Moto Z3 will only be in the US on Verizon networks though.
OnePlus 6 exchange offer goes live
If you’re planning to exchange your old smarphone for a new OnePlus 6, now’s the right time. Amazon India has rolled out its exchange offer that gives buyers an extra Rs 1,500 exchange bonus when buying the latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus.
Oppo Find X goes on sale
The Oppo Find X finally goes on sale today across India, priced at Rs 59,990. The phone is available both online through Flipkart as well as offline through major retailers, and sports a motorized module that houses the front and rear cameras. The phone has an edge-to-edge screen with no notch.

WhatsApp Status will start showing ads in the coming months
The first of two reports from WhatsApp is one that users may not like the sound of. WhatsApp Status, the Snapchat-style limited image and video sharing feature will start showing ads to users in the coming months, which has been confirmed by the Facebook-owned company.
WhatsApp Beta for Android gets picture-in-picture mode for video watching
WhatsApp Beta for Android has a new feature rolling out, which enables users to watch videos within the app while continuing to chat. The feature is only rolling out for beta users right now, and might eventually make it to the stable release for all users.
Samsung schedules its IFA press conference for August 30
Korean electronics giant will be present at IFA 2018 as always, and will kick off its presence with a press conference in Berlin right before the official start of the trade fair, on August 30. The event is expected to have many new announcements involving smart TVs, home appliances and smartphones.
