The Moto Z3 Play hasn’t even been announced yet and could indeed be a few months away at this point, but we do possibly have our first look at the upcoming device. Thanks to a render discovered and published by Android Headlines, we have an idea of what to expect from the device. This includes a dual-camera setup, 18:9 aspect ratio screen and the connector pins for the Moto Mods that are a trademark of Moto Z-series phones. The Moto Z-series is Lenovo-owned Motorola’s modular smartphone range, which allows magnetic snap-on modules to be used with the devices. These modules add various kinds of capabilities and functions, such as additional battery, camera zoom, a better speaker, or just a different look through style panels. The modules are designed to a standard size and specification, which makes all Moto Mods universally usable on any Moto Z-series device. The Moto Z3 Play naturally will meet these dimensions to maintain the universality of the module ecosystem. Other aspects visible on the renders are a stretched 18:9 aspect ratio screen which is likely to be around 6 inches in size on the diagonal. The back has a dual-camera setup with the raised camera bump and the connector pins at the bottom. Notably, there is no fingerprint sensor visible anywhere in the renders, which means that the sensor could be built into the power button or the Motorola bat wing logo at the rear.
