After announcing the Moto Z3 Play last month, Motorola seems to be gearing towards the launch of its new flagship smartphone the Moto Z3. Based on an 11-second teaser posted on the company’s YouTube page, Motorola is touted to unveil the device in Chicago on August 2. While we have spotted rumors around the Moto Z3’s specifications, a new report sheds some light on one its key accessories.
According to Android report, Motorola is expected to announce the Moto Z3 alongside a 5G mod. The new mod is said to be a Verizon-exclusive accessory and will make the Moto Z3 one of the first smartphones to be compatible with the upcoming 5G network. Not just that, the Moto Z3 is also said to be compatible with all the other Moto Mods, and the new Mod will similarly work on older Moto Z-series devices as well.
Besides that, the Moto Z3 is stated to be the new flagship smartphone from Motorola, taking the place of the Moto Z2 Force. This means that the smartphone is expected to feature high-end hardware, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Previous rumors have also suggested it to come with a 6.3-inch notch display. In the photography department, it is touted to come with a dual 12-megapixel camera setup at the back and an 8-megapixel camera upfront. Besides that, the report also suggests the smartphone to come equipped with shatterproof glass, similar to the one featured on the Force edition models. While there has been no word on pricing, the device is expected to hit shop floors soon after launch.
