A poster has surfaced on Weibo, which confirms a Motorola launch event in China on August 15. While the poster doesn t explicitly mention the Moto Z3, it does seem like the most likely of devices to launch. The number 5 in the poster is possibly a hint towards the 5G MotoMod that was launched alongside the Moto Z3. Snapping on the mod will essentially transform the Moto Z3 into the first 5G-enabled smartphone in the world. This mod features a Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 modem, and Verizon users will be able to experience the fast 5G network.

Moto Z3 features, specifications

As far as specifications are concerned, the Moto Z3 features a 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.

For photography, the Moto Z3 comes with dual-camera setup at the back, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera up front. For security there s a fingerprint sensor. But what s interesting is that this sensor is placed on the side panel. Just like other Moto devices, the Moto Z3 too is splash resistant, and the device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo, and should be upgraded to Android P.
