In addition to Moto Beast, the teaser also has the words, “Get Your Life Turbocharged. Accelerate performance, Ballistic Nylon fairing, and revving in soon.” The Moto Maxx is essentially the global variant of the Droid Turbo, which launched towards the end of last year. The smartphone comes with a unique back panel, which Motorola calls ‘Ballistic Nylon’.
As mentioned above, the smartphone was launched in November last year. In addition to the unique back panel, the smartphone also boasts a massive 3,900mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for up to 48 hours of mixed usage. It also supports Motorola’s Turbo Charger, which is said to provide eight hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Moto Maxx flaunts a 5.2-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display with a pixel density of 565ppi, and is powered by a 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
Also included are 21-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash, 2-megapixel front camera, 64GB internal storage, and connectivity options like LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, it runs on Android KitKat, which has since been updated to Lollipop.
