Motorola is currently bringing only the 3G variant to India, but promises that the LTE variant will follow soon. The Moto E (2015) was announced in February and now flaunts a bigger 4.5-inch IPS LCD display albeit with the same qHD (960×540 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and Adreno 302 GPU. Also Read - Phones launching next week: Pixel 6 series, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, Motorola Edge S, more
The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 2,390mAh battery (20 percent more than its predecessor). Connectivity options include 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
The Indian price of the device falls in line with previous rumors that pegged the 3G variant to be priced at Rs 6,999. Interestingly, the new Moto E has been launched at the same price as the old one. Speaking of which, last year’s Moto E recently got a price slash and now retails at Rs 5,999.
