Android 5.1 has been in the spotlight for some time now after it was spotted running on an Indonesian Android One. While the existence of the 5.1 update is no longer a secret, there is still no word on when it will be released. In addition to Android One smartphones and the Nexus lineup, seems like Motorola too will be soon releasing the update. Techdroider has spotted a Moto G (2014) running on the Android 5.1 Lollipop. The report also elucidates that the build is dated February 2, which is an indication that Google is still testing it out. There is however no official word from Google or Motorola.
Motorola are also prepping a new flagship that will succeed the Moto X. They are expected to pull the wraps from this device in the upcoming MWC 2015.
