The forthcoming smartphone is also said to feature 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,470mAh battery. Connectivity options are said to include 4G LTE support, and on the software front, it will run on Android 5.1.1 out-of-the-box. As for design, the new Moto G will feature dimensions of 142.1×72.4×11.6mm and will weigh 155 grams. In comparison, last year’s Moto G features dimensions of 141.5×70.7x11mm and weighs 149 grams.
These specifications are in line with what has leaked before, and isn’t a huge upgrade over its predecessor. As per rumors, one major differentiating factor could be Motorola’s decision to add the new Moto G to its Moto Maker service alongside Moto X and Moto 360. Fnac also claims that the Moto G (2015) is priced at 199 Euros, which roughly translates to Rs 13,700.
As with such rumors we would ask you to take it with the proverbial pinch of salt. In just about a week, Motorola is likely to take the wraps off the third-generation smartphone.
