Motorola is set to launch its third generation smartphone at an event in New Delhi tomorrow. The Moto G (2015) was leaked on Flipkart today revealing the price of the 8GB ROM and 1GB RAM variant. The price of the smartphone is pegged to be at Rs 11,999. Unlike previous times, this year’s Moto G is speculated to come in two storage variants. There is an 8GB and 16GB variant of the Moto G (2015). Both the variants will come with a microSD slot for expandable memory.
The smartphone is pegged to have a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU. The 8GB variant features a 1GB RAM, while the 16GB variant features a 2GB RAM.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Moto G (2015) is said to be water resistant with IPX7 rating that will allow the smartphone to be in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
Connectivity, battery and software
The smartphone is set to pack a 2,470mAh with 4G LTE support. On the software front, it will run on Android 5.1.1 out-of-the-box.
Size and Weight
As for design, the new Moto G will feature dimensions of 142.1×72.4×11.6mm and will weigh 155 grams. In comparison, last year’s Moto G features dimensions of 141.5×70.7x11mm and weighs 149 grams.
It is important to note that these aren’t the official specs and prices of the new Moto G but only what has been leaked so far.
