The second-generation Moto G was launched in India last year with a price tag of Rs 12,999. Recently it was given a temporary price slash, which brought the price down to Rs 10,999. Now however, Motorola has given the smartphone a permanent price drop of Rs 3,000. This effectively brings the price down to Rs 9,999.
Furthermore, the Flipkart is also offering an exchange offer that brings the price further down to Rs 5,999. At this price, the Moto G (2014) makes for an enticing choice. As with Flipkart s exchange offers, only selected smartphones are eligible and the price varies from handset to handset. The offer is also available in selected locations, and you can check if you are eligible by typing in your pin code on the e-commerce site.
For a refresh, the Moto G (second-generation) flaunts a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone also features 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash, 2-megapixel front camera, and a 2,070mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, and on the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop.
