Motorola today launched the Moto G (third-generation) in India, which will go on sale later tonight. The smartphone will be available in two variants, priced at Rs 11,999 for 8GB, and Rs 12,999 for the 16GB variant. While we wait for the sale to begin, here’s a look at Motorola’s new mid-range smartphone from all possible angles.

In terms of the design, the new Moto G looks quite similar to the second-generation Moto G. It now boasts a textured back panel with a metallic strip that houses the rear camera, LED flash, and an indented Moto logo.

The Moto G (third-generation) is a bit heavy at 155 grams, compared to the predecessor which weighs 149 grams. It has also thickened slightly at 11.6mm, while the second-gen smartphone comes with 11mm thickness.

To recap, the Moto G (third-generation) flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and Adreno 306 GPU. The 8GB variant features 1GB of RAM, while the 16GB variant features 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front facing camera, microSD card slot, and a 2,470mAh battery. Connectivity options include LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The new Moto G also comes with IPx7 certification, which makes it resistant to water.
