After Lenovo-backed Motorola unveiled the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at MWC 2017, the smartphone has since been awaited in the Indian market as well. Since the device has already been showcased, we know most details about it. While we know that the smartphones will be exclusively available via Flipkart, we are yet to know about the pricing of the smartphone in India. For the same, Motorola is holding an event in India, where it will be officially launching the device. The event kicks off at 12.00 PM and you can catch the livestream of the launch here. Talking about the design of the smartphones, the Moto G5 Plus comes with metal frame on the sides along with gently curved corners. The home button will be placed up front, which will also double up as the fingerprint scanner. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge. The Moto G5 series comes with popular features like Moto Display and shake gestures. Both the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will also be receiving Google Assistant. The smartphones will be available in color options of fine gold and lunar gray.

The Moto G5 features a 5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm s 64-bit Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) octa-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB/3GB of RAM. The smartphone also comes with 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB.
With 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie snapper, the smartphone is fuelled by a 2,800mAh battery with 10W rapid charging technology. Connectivity options on the smartphone include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The Moto G5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The Moto G5 Plus comes with 5.2-inch full HD display. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC paired with 2GB / 3GB of RAM + 32GB onboard storage, or 4GB of RAM + 64GB onboard storage. A microSD card slot for further expansion is also present.
The smartphone features a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. The rear camera is also capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. Up front there is a 5-megapixel selfie snapper of aperture f/2.2. The Moto G5 Plus is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery with TurboCharging feature.
