Motorola has just announced a price cut of Rs 3,000 on its Moto X (2015) 16GB and 32GB variants in India. The price slash is only applicable till midnight today, and is reflecting even on the leather and bamboo variants. Therefore, the official price tag of the new Moto X 16GB is now Rs Rs 26,999 and Rs 29,999 for the 32GB variant. The leather and wood back variant are available on Flipkart for Rs 28,999. The original price of the new Moto X 16GB is Rs 31,999, but it got a price cut of Rs 2,000 in December. The 16GB was selling for Rs 29,999 and the leather and bamboo variants retailed for Rs 31,999. The 32GB was launched in December for Rs 32,999.
The 16GB variant is available in black and white, while the 32GB is available in royal blue and black. Flipkart warns that there is limited quantity available, hence the price cut offer might end sooner than midnight depending on the traction.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Moto X flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED 1080p display with a pixel density of 423ppi. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB/32GB internal storage, but no microSD card slot to expand the memory.
The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash, and 4K video recording capabilities, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, front-facing stereo speakers, and a 2,300mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the box. However, the OTA update for Android Lollipop for Moto X devices in India has already been rolled out.
