This is not the first time Motorola has temporarily slashed the prices of the new Moto X in India. Just a few days ago, the company had given a Rs 3,000 discount on Moto X (second-gen) and Rs 2,000 off on Moto G (second-gen).
Motorola’s constant price slashing is being attributed to the heavy competition in the market from cheaper options like Xiaomi, Yu and now Lenovo.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Moto X flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED 1080p display with a pixel density of 423ppi. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB/32GB internal storage, but no microSD card slot to expand the memory.
The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash, and 4K video recording capabilities, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, front-facing stereo speakers, and a 2,300mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the box. However, the OTA update for Android Lollipop for Moto X devices in India has already been rolled out.
