Motorola is gearing up to launch its flagship smartphones the Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style on June 9. Ahead of the launch, a lot of details have been revealed via leaks and rumors. A couple of weeks ago, we came across what appeared to be the Moto Z modular accessories called Moto Mods. In the latest leak, a handful of replaceable covers have surfaced online. Called Style Mods, one can quickly put on these covers on the Moto Z to instantly customize its look and feel. The materials used for the style mods appear to be leather, ballistic nylon and wood, MobileXpose reports. The back of the Moto Z-series smartphones also seem to sport a 16-pin connector for modular functionality. While the Style Mods don t seem to add any functionality, other mods are likely to include external battery pack, stereo speakers, camera module with zoom lens, pico projector and much more. Moto Z Style specifications, features: Out of the two smartphones, the Moto Z Style is likely to be the higher-end variant. It could flaunt a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display with shattershield technology that we saw in the recently launched Moto X Force. It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor. While other details are scarce at the moment, the smartphone is likely to include connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE. It is likely to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
Moto Z Play specifications, features: It is expected to be a less powerful variant sporting a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display and powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 620 chipset onboard. With connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS, the Moto Z Play is also expected to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
