The rumor mills have been busy recently with Nexus-related news, especially the Motorola-built Nexus 6 aka Motorola Shamu. Now, the folks at Android Police have leaked a press render of the smartphone that reveals the homescreen layout, as well as confirm previously leaked specifications. As seen in the above photo, the Nexus 6 is expected to feature a revamped set of icons, including new icons for Google Drive and its suite of editing apps. The navigation keys seen in the photo again confirms that the smartphone will run on Android L out of the box. The design too is consistent with earlier leaks. As for specifications, the publication confirms what have been recently leaked. The Nexus 6 will flaunt a 5.9-inch QHD display with a pixel density of 496ppi, and will be powered by a Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor. Additionally, the forthcoming smartphone will also feature 3GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,200mAh battery. While Google hasn’t revealed an official date yet, it is expected to launch the new Nexus devices sometime towards the end of October.
