Motorola P30 launched with Snapdragon 636
Motorola just announced its latest smartphone, the Motorola P30 in the Chinese market. What is striking about this device is that it looks like iPhone X ripoff in terms of the design and a Huawei P20 Pro ripoff when it comes to the paint on the device.
The P30 comes with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution (2280×1080 pixels), and 19:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with CPU clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 509 GPU. Motorola has added 6GB RAM, and the option to go for either 64GB or 128GB storage. The device comes with a dual camera setup with a 16-megapixel camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel camera sensor with a f/2.2 aperture on the back.
Android 9 Pie (Go edition) announced with new features
Google has announced the launch of its latest version of Go Edition of Android, the Android 9 Pie (Go edition). The company added that this new version will come with faster boot times while saving more storage.
For comparison, this new version will be 500MB smaller than the previous version.
Oppo F9 launched with a 6.3-inch display and a small notch
Oppo just announced the launch of its latest smartphone, the Oppo F9 in the Chinese market. According to the announcement, the device is powered by Helio P60 SoC with Mali-G72 GPU. The device comes with either 4GB or 6GB RAM along with a standard storage of 64GB. Oppo has added a 6.3-inch LTPS TFT screen with FHD+ resolution (2340×1080 pixels). The device also comes with a new and different V-shaped notch that houses the front camera.
F9 comes with a dual camera set up at the back with a 16-megapixel primary sensor, running alongside a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, for depth measurement.
“Gaganyaan” to take an Indian astronaut to space by 2022
While addressing the nation on 72nd Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi added that the “Gaganyaan” spacecraft will take an Indian astronaut to space by 2022.
He confirmed the same through a tweet from the official PMO India Twitter handle. “Gaganyaan” is the manned orbital spacecraft that is part of ISRO plan for Indan human spaceflight program.
A teaser page for Xiaomi Poco F1 seems to be live on Flipkart
It looks like the much anticipated Xiaomi Poco F1 may be headed to Flipkart in the coming days. The reason for this is because a teaser page for the smartphone was spotted on the e-commerce giant hinting at its arrival.
Xiaomi has not shared any details about the much-anticipated device but as previously reported, it is likely that the company is planning to shake the smartphone segment with the upcoming device.
Details about the next flash sale for JioPhone 2 revealed
Reliance has announced that it is planning to hold a flash sale for its latest smart feature phone, the JioPhone 2 at 12 PM on August 30.
This comes right after the company held the first flash sale for the JioPhone 2 earlier today at 12 PM.
NCPI announces UPI 2.0
National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has just launched the latest version of its UPI, the UPI 2.0 at a launch event in Mumbai. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Urjit Patel, NCPI MD and CEO Dilip Asbe, and NCPI Advisor – Innovation, Nandan Nilekani launched the new version at the event.
The new version comes with some new features including invoice in the inbox, overdraft, one-time mandate, and signed intent or QR.
