Motorola P30, the iPhone X look-alike, has been launched in China. The smartphone is basically a ripoff of iPhone X’s design with paint job that is taken straight from Huawei P20 Pro. If you ever wanted to see iPhone X in Huawei’s colors then Motorola has delivered that mashup with the P30.

With the launch of Motorola P30, the list of smartphones that mimic the notch-style design of iPhone X continues to grow. The smartphone appeared in the form of renders early this week, and was also listed on the Motorola website yesterday. Now, Motorola has announced that the smartphone is available for pre-order. Motorola, the company that made the first mobile phone and widely known for its Razr phone, has set a new low by copying the design of iPhone X.

Motorola P30 Specifications and Price

The single major reason for Motorola P30’s close resemblance to iPhone X is the fact that consumers like such design language. The Motorola P30 has a wider notch than any other Android smartphone, and features the company logo on the smaller chin at the bottom. It comes with gradient style design similar to Huawei smartphones, and will be available in Aurora Blue, Bright Black and Ice White colors.

In terms of specifications, we are looking at a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels, and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, and aided by Adreno 509 GPU. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM, and option for either 64GB or 128GB storage. The Motorola P30 also supports expandable storage via microSD card slot.

Motorola has equipped the P30 with dual rear camera system comprising of a 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel image sensors. The main 16-megapixel sensor made by OmnoVision has wider f/1.8 aperture while the secondary sensor has f/2.2 aperture. The selfie camera uses a 12-megapixel sensor with 1.25 micron pixel size f/2.0 aperture.

Motorola P30 is the first smartphone from the Chicago-based company to run Lenovo’s ZUI. The smartphone runs ZUI 4.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo, which is essentially the same UI seen on the Lenovo Z5. The Motorola P30 comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery with support for fast charging.

Motorola has priced the smartphone at RMB 1,999 (around Rs 20,100) for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The version with 128GB storage will set you back by RMB 2,099 (around Rs 21,100). Motorola might make the P30 available in the global market at IFA later this month.
